Saturday, December 20, 11:00am - 12:30pm PT
This is an online workshop held via Zoom.

When the season changes and it gets dark outside for longer, I turn to crafts! I love introducing a sense of play into my practice with homemade crafts. Starting with an introduction to watercolor techniques including painting wet on wet and glazing, we’ll create patterns for a garland. Around the shortest day of the year, we’ll add a little sparkle with metallic paints. Metallics have different qualities than other pigments and it’s exciting to explore on different tones of paper.

Join Zoom 15 minutes early for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and class participants! Class will begin promptly at 5 minutes past the hour, so everyone has plenty of time to create!

SUGGESTED MATERIALS:

  • 2-3 of your favorite watercolor paints (some of Anjelika’s favorites include Indigo and metallic Bronze)
  • 3-4 sheets of watercolor paper
  • 1 piece of scrap paper for warm-ups, sketching, and swatching
  • 1 brush (Anjelika’s favorite is a round brush)
  • Pencil or pen
  • Ribbon or string
  • Glue stick
  • Scissor
  • Circle stencil (lids from jars great!)
  • *optional* washi tape
  • Water
  • Paper towel
