Friday, November 8, 5:00pm - 6:30pm PT

A couple of years ago, I wanted to learn calligraphy to jazz up my snail mail. In this session, participants will explore how they can transform their own handwriting into calligraphy! Participants learn how they can use watercolor calligraphy in greeting cards, postcards, and envelopes. Participants will leave with their own alphabet sampler and mail to send to loved ones near or far!

Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PT so that everyone has plenty of time to join!

SUGGESTED MATERIALS:

  • Watercolor paint— at least 1 color that’s a rich color so you can get different shades by changing the water content (Anjelika loves Indigo, Cerulean, French Vermillion)
  • 3-4 scrap pieces of printer paper
  • 1-2 scrap pieces of watercolor paper
  • 2-3 watercolor paper (preferably cold press); bring any items if you’d like to make a card or address an envelope (CfM Greeting Cards and CfM postcards are great!)
  • Brushes (small round brushes preferred), for example CfM round brush size 1
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Water
  • Paper towel
