Tourmaline Black

Tourmaline is an intense black gemstone that creates a unique semi-transparent color. You can achieve great range with this semi-precious stone pigment that also offers a slight granular consistency and great lightfastness.

You'll notice that the larger granules might brush away after painting - this is to be expected due to the nature of the pigment and can be helped to stay in place with a fixative spray if desired.

All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!

Half Pans measure ~3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8" and contain ~2ml of paint.
