The Power of Repetition with Julie Cloutier
Wednesday, December 4, 5:00 - 6:30pm PT
In this session, we'll look to repetition as a starting point for inspiration. The strength and simplicity of iterative work can be a powerful tool to improve our painting skills and find the essence of our subject. Wether we're painting the same object in multiple ways, creating a repeat pattern or tweaking one technique, we will gain confidence in our brush stroke, expression and composition. It's also a great way to paint cards for the upcoming holiday/new year season!
Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm PT) or an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PT so that everyone has plenty of time to join!
SUGGESTED MATERIALS:
- Newspaper or butcher paper
- Fruit or vegetable for still life study
- Pack of small cards, either 2x3" or 4x6" (the more paper the better!)
- Sumi ink or Indigo Ink
- Your fav watercolors
- Brushes (preferably 3 different sizes)
- Cup of water
