Saturday, July 25, 11:00am - 12:30pm PT.
This is an online workshop held via Zoom.

I have been obsessed with dolphins since childhood. Their curious, playful natures are fascinating, and their graceful movements are full of joy. Observing them swimming in the San Francisco Bay inspired me to loosen my approach to painting and respond more intuitively to the natural world.

In this workshop we’ll explore foundational watercolor techniques such as wet-into-wet, layering, and more, with an emphasis on using minimal, fluid brushstrokes to paint these streamlined creatures. We’ll focus on letting go of rigid detail, building confidence with our brushes, capturing the energy and grace of dolphins through simple, gestural paintings.

Reference photos will be provided, and you’re also welcome to bring your own imagery for inspiration.

Join Zoom 15 minutes early for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and class participants! Class will begin promptly at 5 minutes past the hour, so everyone has plenty of time to create!
