This is an online workshop held via Zoom.
When I saw one of Colombian artist Olga de Amaral's metallic textile pieces from her Alquimia series up close, I was struck by the colors and grid pattern created with gold and silver leaf. Drawing inspiration from her work, I later explored using flat brushes to create a grid of overlapping metallic brushstrokes to achieve a sense of meditation and flow. In this session, we'll do a similar exercise, creating our own geometric patterns using Olga de Amaral’s art as a reference. We'll also explore a variety of color combinations with metallic watercolor paint!
Join Zoom 15 minutes early for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and class participants! Class will begin promptly at 5 minutes past the hour, so everyone has plenty of time to create!
