Wednesday, October 18, 5:00pm - 6:30pm PST

Earlier this year, I discovered the only female Bauhaus Master, Gunta Stölzl, and was immediately drawn to her vibrant color palette and bold patterns of her textile designs. Flat brushes are one of the tools I only occasionally use in my practice. Learning more about the artist and her practice, I challenged myself to use varying sizes of flat brushes to create geometric designs inspired by Gunta’s designs.

Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PST so that everyone has plenty of time to join!

  • Pencil or pen

  • 1 piece of scrap copy paper

  • Water

  • optional: straight edge (for example a postcard)

Anjelika found her love for CfM when she was on the hunt for the perfect watercolors to match the landscape of Death Valley and Mojave Desert back in 2019. She loves typography, design and color theory and draws inspiration from textiles, political posters, and patterns found in nature. She is a scientist, researcher, educator and policy wonk.
