Join us on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in West Iceland for a creative retreat at Arctic Canvas! Designed as a spacious, restorative experience, this retreat offers time to slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and draw inspiration from Iceland’s striking natural landscape. Our days will be lightly structured with watercolor workshops, shared meals, and open studio time, alongside opportunities for outings, exploration, and reflection.

Arctic Canvas provides a cozy, design-forward space immersed in a serene coastal environment: expansive skies, fresh air, and ever-changing light. We’ll spend our days surrounded by views of glaciers, the Atlantic Ocean, mountains, and ancient lava fields, with field trips to hot springs and Snæfellsjökull National Park. Whether painting, journaling, or simply taking in the landscape, participants are invited to create at their own pace while connecting with a small group of fellow creatives.

July in Iceland brings long daylight hours and mild temperatures – ideal conditions for outdoor painting and exploration!

All skill levels are welcome. No prior watercolor experience is required.

Our Accommodations:

Arctic Canvas is a small creative retreat center located about 2.5 hours from Reykjavik. We'll have full use of the main house, which includes three double-occupancy bedrooms for participants, a fully equipped kitchen, and group dining and gathering spaces where we'll enjoy our shared meals. Adjacent to the main house, a dedicated studio building will provide instructor sleeping quarters and space for our group's indoor workshops.

*There is one participant accommodation located next to the kitchen, offered at a discounted rate. Please note that this is a couch bed in a small nook and there is no door.
