Furnace Black
Free domestic shipping on product orders over $150!
Furnace Black is a deep, smooth and opaque black that goes by many names, including Lamp Black, Carbon Black, and Channel Black. It's a carbon pigment created by the heated decomposition of natural hydrocarbons, and is industrially produced in a controlled furnace.
Please Note: This color is discounted price because as the paint dried a bit low in the pans, but it's still wonderful! Because our colors are so saturated, and Furnace Black in particular is so rich, these pans should still last a while!
All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!
Half Pans measure approximately 3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8," and contain ~2ml of paint (a little less for discounted pans).
Color Index number as provided by vendor: PBk 7.77266. All of our watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
