Saturday, January 10, 11:00am - 12:30pm PT
This is an online workshop held via Zoom.

Colour palettes are storytelling and form the foundation of my creative practice and in this session we’ll explore how to curate thoughtful, expressive colour palettes inspired by the world around you. Using references from fashion, fine art, and interior design, we’ll explore how designers and artists build colour harmony, contrast, and mood, then translate those ideas into our own watercolour practice.

Through guided exercises, you’ll learn to study runway collections, editorial spreads, interior mood boards, and iconic artworks to identify harmonious  colour relationships and transform them into cohesive palette studies. We’ll experiment with essential mixing strategies and swatching paints so that you can start to build your own stories with colour.

Join Zoom 15 minutes early for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and class participants! Class will begin promptly at 5 minutes past the hour, so everyone has plenty of time to create!
