Saturday, April 19, 11:00am - 12:30pm PT
This is an online workshop held via Zoom.

One of my favorite childhood springtime activities involved decorating Easter eggs. I loved the soft colors of natural dyes, and the way they all looked together after the egg-hunt. Later in life, during a residency in Iceland, I developed a fascination for arctic seabirds and their eggs. The abundance of speckles, the variations in size, and the beautiful markings on the shells inspired me to observe nature more closely. This workshop incorporates naturalist illustration techniques with playful watercolor exercises. We'll be practicing color mixing, wet into wet, layering, and glazing in order to bring our watercolor eggs to life.

Join Zoom 15 minutes early for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and class participants! Class will begin promptly at 5 minutes past the hour, so everyone has plenty of time to create!
