CfM Ruby

We've been wanting to make our dream, ultimate warm ruby red for a long time and here it is! This color is a complex mix of 5 of our core collection colors; some bright, some deep, and all opaque. While our French Vermilion is brighter and closer to the orange scale and Primary Red is a cooler, bluer red, Ruby fits right in the middle with some brown tones as well.

Just like a ruby gemstone, our Ruby is super multi-faceted and the perfect red for everything from a yummy berry fruit-leather to the feathers on a cardinal to the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset.

All of our watercolors are non-toxic and handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments and natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine and distilled water.

Our custom blended colors don't have a Color Index number as they consist of a unique blend of two or more pigments.
