Inspired by Heidi Gustafson's beautiful reference catalog Book of Earth, this rich and layered mix of earth pigments reminds us of long summer days at the Yuba, running barefoot along the cool, muddy banks and watching the ebb and flow of silty sand beneath the water.

CfM Ultra-Blends are custom colors with endless possibilities! Use them with just a bit of water for full, even saturation, or add more water (and a bit more!), let it all pool and dry undisturbed on your paper, and discover worlds upon magical worlds as the colors separate and settle out!

All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!

Half Pans measure ~3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8" and contain ~2ml of paint.

Our custom blended colors don't have a Color Index number, as they consist of a unique blend of two or more pigments. All of our watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
