This deep, vivid color is lovely for florals. You might notice some color separation with this blend, which we're super into!
Each Spring some of us head up to Point Reyes to wade through trails of gorgeous lupine shrubs, and this color is the perfect shade to capture their bold, bright flowers in paint. But the blend truly emerged from one of our Instagram Live #lunchclub sessions with our bestie Lindsay Stripling, who challenged us to appreciate purple in a whole new way. We set out to make a purple that gave us all the feels, and this one left us instantly obsessed!
This color contains fluorescent pigment, which is not lightfast. Fading can be reduced by coating finished pieces in a UV protective varnish and/or keeping them out of direct sunlight.
All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!
Half Pans measure ~3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8" and contain ~2ml of paint.
Our custom blended colors don't have a Color Index number, as they consist of a unique blend of two or more pigments. All of our watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
