CfM Emerald

This vivid emerald green has been on our minds for a long time and we're so excited to have found the perfect recipe of pigments to make it ourselves!  

Years and years ago when we were a young shop with a wee handmade watercolor collection, a friend who had been traveling through Italy was sweet enough to bring back some pigment for us as a gift. We fell IN LOVE with both the brightness and depth of this special color but were just a little deflated when we discovered how tricky it was to make into watercolor. For a long while we held onto it out of our sheer love of just beholding it in a jar and sometimes we would make a batch or two. But we always knew we needed to have our own version in our permanent collection and are so excited it's finally here!

You can never have too many greens, right? CfM Emerald fits perfectly alongside CfM Pacific and Turquoise Lake as lovely greens on the bluer spectrum.

This blend contains a fair amount of fluorescent pigment which makes it not lightfast.

All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!

Half Pans measure ~3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8" and contain ~2ml of paint.

Our custom blended colors don't have a Color Index number, as they consist of a unique blend of two or more pigments. All of our watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
