CfM Cypress Green

When we were developing our Custom Brush Roll Set collaboration with Gravel & Gold, we found this deep green hue in some of their fabrics and it gave us the perfect excuse to make our own new blended color! Based on a mixture of two pigments suggested by our friend Lindsay Stripling, we created this deep Cypress green—named for the many iconic trees in our coastal neighborhood—and we're so in love!

Cypress contains a fair amount of our Indigo paint and some fluorescents, so therefore it’s not completely lightfast, but it is very opaque and can provide a wide range of tones—at its darkest, it appears to be almost black!

All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!

Half Pans measure ~3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8" and contain ~2ml of paint.

Our custom blended colors don't have a Color Index number, as they consist of a unique blend of two or more pigments. All of our watercolors conform to ASTM D-4236.
