A natural earth pigment that is lightfast and opaque with slight texture. Umbers are brown or reddish-brown natural earth colors. This pigment consist of iron oxide and manganese oxide and in it's natural form is raw umber. After the pigment is heated, the color becomes darker and richer, transforming into burnt umber.
* We have some seconds available in this color. We deem a half pan second quality when it is too low, too full or a bit cracked to sell at full price. Available until we run out!
All of our watercolors are handmade in our shop using the highest quality earth and synthetic pigments, plus natural watercolor binding medium made from gum arabic (sap from acacia trees), honey, glycerine, distilled water, and a dash of clove oil for freshness!
Half Pans contain around 2ml of paint and are approximately 3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8" deep.
