Wildlife Painting: Backyard Birds with Gina Hendry
Wednesday, August 24, 5:00pm - 6:30pm PST
Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PST so that everyone has plenty of time to join!
In this session, we will learn to paint the birds you might come across every day in watercolor. Jays, finches, doves, and more. Using your preferred reference photos as well as photos from Gina’s collection, we’ll learn to notice the shapes, colors, and forms that make up these beautiful birds and translate them into paintings. Any level of painting experience is welcome!
Gina has been painting wildlife for many years, and has spent a considerable amount of time studying raptors in particular through falconry and birding. She will guide you through your particular reference and help you bring your bird to life on the page.
