Watercolor Mixing with Claire Nereim

Friday, October 6, 2:00 - 3:30pm PST
In this session we will learn how to approach color mixing with confidence. We’ll go over the basics of color theory as we do hands-on mixing to paint simple watercolor charts. We will learn about how pigments combine in both predictable and unpredictable ways, and we will experiment with water to manipulate value. These open-ended exercises and scales are ones that I love to revisit—to practice brush and water handling skills, to learn about new paints in my box, to work towards color matching, and for pure chromatic pleasure.
Join zoom 15 minutes early (1:45pm) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 2:05pm PST so that everyone has plenty of time to join!
