Take on the Inktober Challenge with Julie Cloutier

It's that time of year, Inktober is here! Join me as we paint with prompts and constraints to make watercolors part of our daily routine! This session is about being playful, experimenting with different styles and letting go of expectations. In addition to ink, we'll be using limited color to highlight each composition. We'll go over the best ways to sticking to a 30 day painting challenge and how to have fun drawing and planning out our sketches. Come join the community of artists that come together in October!

Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PST so that everyone has plenty of time to join!
SUGGESTED MATERIALS:
- Your favorite watercolors!
- Black Sumi Ink
- 12 pieces of small watercolor paper, preferably 2x3" cards
- Brushes (Mix of small and medium size, Julie will have a size 1, 6, and 8)
- Pencil & Eraser
- Mixing Surface
- Cup of water
- Sketchbook
- Optional: CFM Colortober inspo!
- Optional: Peachtober prompts!
ABOUT JULIE
Julie Cloutier is an artist living and working in rural California. She works in a variety of mediums but mostly with clay and paints. Her ceramic work focuses on handheld sculptures and everyday objects. Her painting practice is her creative outlet and enjoys painting both abstract and realistic works.

All workshops are recorded and the replay will be automatically available the day after class to everyone who paid for a spot! The link to the recording will expire 30 days after the date of the session.
*Each class is currently capped at 40 people, but we will be offering 5 free spots per class to people with financial need. Email friends@caseformaking.com if you would like to request a spot. Free spots are first come, first serve.
