Meditation on Ray Eames' Playful Shapes with Anjelika Deogirikar Grossman

While I was familiar with Ray Eames as part of the Eames duo, I recently learned about her collage practice of using bold colored geometric shapes to design interior spaces and objects. I was inspired to explore Ray’s practice of collage to introduce geometric shapes and line work into my own practice. In addition to architecture and furniture, Ray created textiles and toys. I am drawn to Ray’s playful approach to art and how we can be curious through our creative practice.
Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PST so that everyone has plenty of time to join!
