Kintsugi is a Japanese art form of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.
Our very own Yina Kim has mended a selection of our Wills Wells ceramic palettes that first arrived cracked, so they can continue on their journey and into your studio for a lifetime. Like each of our original Wills palettes, these Kintsugi palettes are all one of a kind. Some palettes have a slice mended on the underside of the palette—please check the photos of both the front and the back to see which Kintsugi palette speaks to you!
Wills Brewer is a friend and artist who works down in LA. When we first opened the shop back in 2014 we asked Wills, one of our forever favorite ceramicists, to develop the perfect mixing palette and these have been a recurring sold out favorite ever since! Each palette is hand-detailed and carved and each one is uniquely beautiful!
