Inkebana with Claire Wilson
Friday, October 18, 5:00 - 6:30pm PT
October is here, which means it’s time to celebrate all things Ink with the arrival of Inktober. In this month's session we'll be taking inspiration from the elegant art of Ikebana by creating delicate floral compositions inspired by the principles of Japanese flower arranging. Using inks, we’ll explore painting techniques to capture the essence of Ikebana's simplicity, balance, and organic beauty. Emphasis will be placed on expressive brush work, line work, layering glazes, and the use of negative space, allowing participants to create graceful floral studies that evoke a sense of serenity and mindfulness.
Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm PT) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PT so that everyone has plenty of time to join!
