She transformed small blossoms into huge, bold, intimate studies of color, shape, and form. Through dramatic scale and close observation, she invited viewers to slow down and experience the beauty of flowers in an entirely new way.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eO'Keeffe's famous flower paintings were created in oil, and we'll be translating her approach into watercolor. Using layered, transparent washes and soft gradients, we'll explore the flowing shapes, vibrant colors, and subtle details that make her floral compositions so captivating. Rather than painting flowers as botanical illustrations, O'Keeffe focused on their abstract forms. She earned her MFA in painting at the Burren College of Art in Ireland, and has an interdisciplinary background in visual arts and somatic psychology. Her work explores the intersection of healing, meaning-making, and the natural world.
