Have you been on a trip recently to a place you often think about? Maybe a favorite hike? a favorite National Park? or a favorite city? An adventure you never want to forget? Let's make a map of this special destination with all of the landmarks that mean the world to you!

Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PST so that everyone has plenty of time to join!

  • Watercolors: Any will do! I lean more towards an earthy and neutral palette when painting maps or landscapes, it depends on the location!

  • Brushes: Any brushes you have will work! I like using a Mop 8 and a detail brush like a Round 3/0 or 1

  • Watercolor Paper: Any will do. I enjoy using the CfM Circle paper for this exercise to give the map a nice frame, but this is not necessary!

  • A recent adventure or place that you would like to reference: a hike, a camping trip, your favorite National Park, or even a city that means a lot to you!

  • A map of your place: Access to Google Maps will be helpful, or having a map near by, or photos to reference! You can also follow along on my adventure!

  • Micron: any size will do, but I like 005 or 01

  • Mixing Palette

  • Cup of water

  • Paper towel / Studio Cloth

  • Pencil + Eraser
