Pet Portraits with Gina Hendry

Come paint your favorite furry friends in watercolor! In this session we'll create playful portraits of our pets. Focusing on their quirks and signature characteristics, we'll explore what makes each pet special. No painting experience needed - just a connection to your animal and some paints is all you need. We’ll also go over rendering fur textures in watercolor as well as bringing color and texture to pets that are all black or all white!
Join zoom 15 minutes early (4:45pm) for an informal meet and greet with the instructor and other class participants! Session instructions will begin promptly at 5:05pm PST so that everyone has plenty of time to join!
SUGGESTED MATERIALS

Photo reference of your pet (if you can have your pet in the room and draw from them live, please do!)

Pencil

Watercolors (at least one white, titanium white highly recommended)

Mixing surface
-
At least two pages of watercolor paper

Washi tape or masking tape for the sides of your paper

Hair dryer (optional)
ABOUT GINA
Gina Hendry is an artist and illustrator who has been working at CFM for over 6 years. She loves birds, beverages, and CFM's Buff Titanium pigment.
